Most people are well aware that when you drive a motor vehicle it will have a brake, and also a clutch - as long as it does not have an automatic gearbox in which case it only has the brakes. What most people may not realise is that many other pieces of equipment also require a brake and a clutch, including things such as cranes, for instance. That is understandable if you are not an engineer, but they are essential in order for everything to work as it should.
